B.C. Fencers Earn 2 out of 4 Canada's Medals at 2025 Junior & Cadet World Championships

At the 2025 Junior & Cadet Fencing World Championships in Wuxi, China, Team Canada brought home four well-earned medals—and two of them came from right here in British Columbia.

Daniel Rubin, Nicholas Zhang, and Simon Shan—fencers from Dynamo Fencing Club—helped Canada secure a historic silver medal in the Junior Men’s Épée Team event, marking a proud moment for Canadian fencing and for B.C.'s growing fencing community.

Simon Shan also earned a bronze medal in Cadet Men’s Épée, making another historic moment of earning 2 medals at the World Championships.

These achievements reflect the dedication of the athletes, their coaches, and the broader fencing community behind them. It’s a proud moment for B.C., and we’re excited to see what’s next for these rising athletes.
